Premier Group of Companies, founded in 1989, is a large Canadian managing general agent (MGA), operating through a structure that includes Premier Canada Assurance Managers Ltd. and Premier Marine Insurance Managers Group (WEST) Inc.
Acquired in 2015 by The Co-operators, Premier continues to operate as an independent entity while benefiting from the strong support of a nationally recognized insurer. With over 150 employees and a presence in several Canadian cities (Vancouver, Toronto, Laval, London, Cambridge), the group manages more than 120,000 policies distributed through approximately 4,000 brokers.
